Help us extend the communion table each month to feed our hungry neighbors at Neighbors Along the Line!
In March, bring Rice a Roni or Knorr Pasta Sides and drop your donation in the cart by the office any time during the month.
Don't forget to send a picture to Jennifer Deal for our weekly "Passing the Peace" during virtual worship.
You can send a picture of yourself and a sign with three little words describing your week, a picture of your pet, your happy place, anything! Show us what you have been doing each week and share it with your John Knox family.
There is currently no in-person worship at John Knox.
Join us for worship electronically by joining our Zoom conference call every Sunday at 11:00 am Central.
We celebrate Communion the first Sunday of every month - gather your bread and drink as you prepare to worship.
Contact Pastor Kate to be added to the weekly email list (kate@johnknoxchurch.org).
Our Elders meet the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 to discuss the ministry of the church and where God is calling John Knox Presbyterian Church.
During this time, we are meeting virtually over Zoom.
When was the last time you visited our John Knox Garden? Even in 2020, our gardeners bore good fruit, including: potatoes, onions, jalapeno peppers, okra, eggplant, banana peppers, tomatoes, acorn squash, green bell peppers, brussels sprouts, and basil!
It may not look like much right now, but it’s amazing to recognize that so much growth can come from plots that appear barren. With time, intention, hard work, and the right ingredients, it will bear good fruit.
Just like a well-tended garden, we do better when we set aside time with God, especially in nature.
Join us the weekend of March 12th for a Prayer Walk at the John Knox Garden. Prayer stations will be scattered throughout the garden all weekend long and you are invited to come any time to walk through and pray for new growth (in the garden and in yourself). Enjoy the fresh air and spend some time with God.
Our board of Deacons meets the third Thursday of every month to discuss ways to better serve the congregation and minister to our homebound members and the Tulsa community.
We are currently meeting virtually over Zoom.
While we are not currently hosting our monthly Community Taco Dinner, we are still committed to feeding people in Tulsa.
Each month on Taco Dinner Night, stop by the church office (the 'office' doors are on the NW side of the building at the top of the hill - follow the sign to the office and see the covered sidewalk) starting at 5:30 to receive a $10 Braum's giftcard. Braum's offers burgers and ice cream as well as staples like milk and produce. There is one located right around the corner from John Knox on Harvard.
If you are hungry, stop by.
