Neighbors Along the LineNeighbors Along The Line (NATL) was founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1976 by John Knox Presbyterian Church primarily to assist residents of northwest Tulsa with basic needs.
The mission at Neighbors is to meet basic needs and provide opportunities for development and increased independence.
Historically, NATL has responded to the needs of the community by offering a broad range of services. The areas of primary focus are: Food & Nutrition, Health & Wellness, Literacy & Development, and Community Activities.
The goal is to offer services that complement our mission and partner with as many organizations that enhance this effort. NATL currently partners with O.S.U. Center for Health Sciences, and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation to provide free medical and dental care to uninsured patients each week.
In 2016 the NATL Literacy program more than doubled the amount of GED graduates completing the preparation program compared to previous years, while also creating two after school programs at Mark Twain and Chouteau Elementary schools.
The Food Pantry at Neighbors has grown 69% since 2008 and serves over 5,000 people each year with enough food to create over 117,000 meals.
In addition to these programs Neighbors Along the Line continues to develop innovative ways to create value for the community.
